BC Brews has a link to an interesting-looking Russian Imperial Stout Cheesecake recipe on their blog. They give a list of suitable beers:
rent a car bulgariaBrooklyn Black Chocolate Stout, Flying Dog Gonzo Imperial Porter, Moylan’s Ryan O’Sullivan’s Imperial Stout, North Coast Old Rasputin, and Phillips The Hammer
But there are plenty of others out there that would do the trick. If you make this cheesecake, send us a photo and we’ll post it!

This video comes by way of Flying Dog’s fan page on Facebook. Chef Paul Rinehart shows us how to make Curry Chicken and pair it with our Double Dog Double Pale Ale. It’s part of betterbeerfood.com, and our favorite section of this site is the “how-to” section. We’re paraphrasing ourselves here, but every dinner can be a beer dinner!

We’re still decompressing from GABF here at beerdinners.com, but we came across an interesting dish. Here’s more proof that cooking with beer can be easy. Straight from Frank Barret’s Brain, nonetheless. He’s got a recipe for Frank’s Road Dog Catfish (using Flying Dog’s Road Dog Porter). Road Dog and Gonzo Imperial Porter are wonderful to cook with.
As soon as the post-GABF fog clears a little, I’ll be reporting back about our Flying Dog/DRAFT Magazine beer dinner at Braun’s from this past Saturday. In short, the food was rich, and our hungry group of 80 attendees loved it. More to come.
